Gabriel’s Has A Solution For Any Problem

Problems

  • Tree or shrubbery are obstructing or blocking cars and pedestrian access to sidewalks or walkways

  • Your greenery is overgrown and can cause damage in the event of severe weather

  • Your tree or shrubs have been compromised and pose a threat to surrounding plants on your property

Solution: Crown Rasing

Pruning a tree for safety involves the removal of damaged branches, reducing the risk of structural failure in the event of severe weather, and the detection and removal of diseased branches for the betterment of the tree. Removing branches that are a risk to yourself or your property is a pruning technique known as crown raising.

Problems

  • There is not enough sunlight penetrating through the center of the tree

  • Your tree or shrubs has structural defects that can affect other plants nearby

  • The tree in question is too big for the space it’s in

        Solution: Crown Reduction

Cutting back ends of branches reduces length and weight which allows for the reduction in the volume of a tree or reduction in leverage of a limb. Unlike topping, a method we do not endorse, ends are removed at indiscriminate natural unions on a branch to help maintain a natural branch pattern and reduce the possibility of decay or infestation. This method or pruning can be done to an entire canopy or only a section of it to satisfy various objectives.

Note: We do NOT top trees

Problems

  • Your tree has become unsightly and needs to be trimmed

  • You want to increase the value of your property

  • You can see dead, dying, or diseased branches

  Solution: Crown Shaping

While pruning is mainly used to improve the health of the tree, it can also increase the value of your property. Similar to the crown reduction method pruning branch ends in specific locations allows for the desired forming of the crown. Ends are removed at indiscriminate natural unions on a branch to help maintain a natural branch pattern and reduce the possibility of decay or infestation.
